Mix Master Mike is a turntablist and member of the Beastie Boys. He first came to prominence upon winning the 1992 New Music Seminar/Super men Inc. DJ Battle for World Supremacy in New York City, becoming the first west coast DJ to ever do so. In the same year, his turntablist collective Rock Steady DJS won the DMC World Championships, establishing Mix Master Mike as on of the best DJs in the industry. It is rumored that the DMC asked Mike to retire from competition with Q-Bert after having won tree championships in a row; he and Q-Bert formed the Invisibl Skratch Pikls with DJ Apollo. Mike has worked with the Beastie Boys since 1998. He has released 4 solo albums along with a handful of mixtapes and EPs over the course of his career. He is currently touring with the Beastie Boys and performing at clubs and festivals across the globe.
