Bursting forth from their underground status, internationally renowned touring artists Groundation capture the essence and drive of true Roots Reggae, yet blend elements of both Jazz/Funk fusion and transcendental Dub in their progressive amalgam of sound. Equal parts John Coltrane, Burning Spear, and Pink Floyd, Groundation are credited as THE Leaders of the neo-Reggae movement in the US. Undoubtedly America's biggest Reggae band touring the world today, Groundation is setting its sights squarely on capturing that title here at home in 2011.

Over the past three years, Groundation has toured thru over 35 countries, crossing four continents and 50,000 miles, headlining major international festivals in Germany, France, Morocco, Brazil, Israel, Italy, Greece and Switzerland. Here in the US, Groundation has toured coast to coast three times in the past two years, each time seeing its cult-like fanbase growing in numbers. The jazz-inspired, improv-based musicianship of the 9-piece band is unrivaled in the Reggae genre and their ever-changing setlists have helped them expand beyond their niche, developing a traveling, jamband-type following.

Groundation has performed with literally every major Reggae act in the world today: from all of the Marleys to Burning Spear, The Wailers to Bunny Wailer and from Israel Vibration to Black Uhuru; from Hawaii to stateside, New Caledonia to The Reunion Islands and from Portugal to Poland.
