DJ MUGGS

In the late 80s, Cypress Hill was formed when Muggs joined B-Real and Sen Dog. Muggs played the role of producer and DJ for the group. Their first album was released in August of 1991and eventually went on to sell 2 million copies in the US alone. On the success of that record and other projects, Muggs went on to take production jobs for artists such as House of Pain (song “Jump Around” and many others on the group’s debut record), Tricky (album Juxtapose), Ice Cube, KRS-One, Eminem, Everlast, and MC Eiht. Over the course of the career of Cypress Hill, Muggs has been an integral part of all twelve full-length releases. Muggs is also a principle member of Soul Assassins, which is a collective of musicians and other artists. The Soul Assassins have released 2 compilation albums. Additionally, Muggs has released three of his own mixtapes between 2003 and 2005. In 2005, Muggs founded the record label Angeles Records together with Self Scientific. These days, other than touring with Cypress Hill, Muggs has his own show on Sirius radio dubbed “Mash-Up Radio” and is working on a number of different collaborative projects.
